From the beginning in 1991, when co-founder and current president Ryszard Florek began the production of roof windows in Poland, FAKRO has been and remains the most dynamic and fastest growing roof window manufacturer in the world. We aim to supply the highest quality products to satisfy the demands of our customers from all over the world by placing the highest priority on security, safety, and the environmental impact of our products.

Today, FAKRO’s international subsidiaries include trading in the USA, Canada, Europe, Asia, South Africa, and Australia.

Skylights

Skylights are a great addition to almost any room in the home, providing up to 3 times more light than a regular vertical window of the same size. All FAKRO skylights filter UV rays (Low-E) and feature tinted glass for increased thermal performance and energy savings. Available in deck mounted and curb mounted versions in a variety of standard sizes FAKRO skylights are perfect for new builds and retrofits.

Fixed Skylight FX

The main purpose of the fixed skylight is to take advantage of natural light. Natural light in homes increases the comfort of living and positively influences health. Simple construction of the FX skylight guarantees hassle free use for a long time, which is particularly important when the skylights are installed in high ceilings.

Manual venting skylight FV

FV skylights are also recommended for places where there is no access to a power source. A special control rod enables opening and closing the skylights installed high in the ceiling (out of reach). An insect screen, installed as standard, protects from mosquitos and other insects, so the skylight can be left ajar also during dry summer nights.

Electrically operated venting skylight FVE

FAKRO FVE electric venting skylights, give you the comfort you were looking for. FVE skylights not only let the light in, it also allows active circulation air. Thanks to the technology used to make this product, gives you a peace of mind. Originally equipped with two rain sensors, it automatically closes when it starts to rain.

Solar venting skylight FVS

FAKRO FVS solar powered deck mounted skylights are the autonomous products which do not require connection to the mains due to an applied photovoltaic panel connected with integrated battery. Flat roof access skylight DRF

Fakro DRF flat roof access skylight is an energy-efficient hatch that acts as a skylight while providing access to flat roofs. A special opening system of patented hinges and gas springs safely open the window and secure it in the open position at 80 degrees. This window utilizes Fakro DU6 triple-pane glazing mounted on insulated multi-chamber PVC frame.

Roof Windows

FAKRO manufactures a range of roof windows that transform attics into comfortable living spaces. The main difference between a roof window and a skylight is that a roof window opens like a regular window on side hinges or pivoting at the center or top. Roof windows operate manually with the turn of a handle and are also available in electrical versions.

Centre pivot

FTP-V L3 centre pivot windows are the most popular type of Fakro roof windows that are sold in Europe. The well-designed centre pivot permits the sash to be opened in a range of positions, thus increasing the volume of fresh air that can be drawn into the room. The sash can also be rotated up to 180° and locked, permitting easy and safe cleaning of the outer pane to be accomplished. Such pivot windows are operated using a two-part hinge.

Highly energy efficient windows

The glazing unit is set in a particularly designed sash frame. It has wider wooden profiles, compared with a standard window. This design reduces the occurrence of thermal bridges and delivers better insulation of the window

High pivot

A pivot roof window with a raised axis of rotation above the center of the window creates more space to stand under when the window is open. The lower part of the sash acts as a top hung window while the upper part of the sash is an additional source of daylight. The sash is supported by an innovative supporting mechanism allowing the window to open anywhere from 0 to 45 degrees.

Balcony window

An innovative, large roof window that opens into a balcony. The upper sash opens upwards while the lower sash opens forward to create a balcony bay. The window stays open anywhere along the 0 to 45 degree opening range.
The window is operated by the handle located at the bottom of the upper sash which has a two-point locking mechanism.
Automatic air inlet V40P adjusts the air pressure in the room to compliment the air pressure outdoors for maximum performance and stability.

Flat Roof Metal Hatch DRL

The Flat Roof Metal Hatch is an insulated metal hatch for accessing a flat roof. It can be combined with the LML wide-step metal attic ladder or any FAKRO attic ladder for ease of access. The piston-assisted hatch stays open at a 60-degree angle while anti-slip covers on the frame ensure safe footing.

Walkable Skylight DXW

The Walkable Skylight DXW offers a completely new approach to be taken with flat roof design. This flat roof window has a specially strengthened sash and frame made from multi-chamber PVC profiles which enables you to walk across the entire surface safely. Its features such as non-slip coating and safe glazing unit offer a modern design, high quality of finish and do not spoil its aesthetics.

Control System

FAKRO, has equipped its products with a revolutionary radio communication system, a wireless protocol used for communication between household appliances. It serves the purpose of combining into a single network such electric devices as: lighting, thermostats, alarms, computers, telephones, air conditioning and electric windows and blinds.

Radio system is easy to install, expand and manage at every stage of building use. Installation of the system does not require any control units or fitting wires between electronic devices, hence significantly reducing cost and time of installation and maximising usage comfort. It is intended for buildings under construction as well as already existing structures.

The operating principle of this system consists in “mapping out a route” for a signal. For radio waves sent from a controlling device (e.g. remote control) there is set a route in such a way so that a command reaches the right device and is invariably performed. This is achieved by means of requiring conformation of command reception by a device sending out commands, in this case a remote control.

Light Tunnels

A light tunnel offers a source of light when other types of windows are not possible or when additional illumination is required in dimly lit spaces. Light tunnels are available in rigid or flexible tubing that installs on the roof. A prismatic cover finishes the look on the inside in the ceiling.

Flexible light tunnels SLT are a great way to brighten up small spaces and dimly lit rooms. Areas such as corridors, hallways and bathrooms benefit from the light from a tunnel, especially since they often are too small or centrally located making it impractical to install windows.

The rigid light tunnel is an effective method of illuminating small spaces and dimly lit rooms. Areas such as corridors, hallways and bathrooms benefit from the light from a tunnel, especially since they often are too small or centrally located making it impractical to install windows.

Rigid Flat Light Tunnel SR_

The light transmitting tube is made of aluminium, covered with a highly reflective silver based layer, characterized by a high efficiency light reflective factor of over 98% (compared to a new mirror reflective factor of 90-95%).

Flexible Flat Light Tunnel SF_

The light transmitting tube is made of metallised polyester, additionally reinforced with metal wire. This design produces a robust and flexible light transmitting tube which is ideal for installation over short distances in rooms with structural obstacles that have to be bypassed.

FAKRO Smart Attic Ladders save space while providing convenient storage and access to the attic. Each model features minor adjusts that make installation and fitting the floor-to-ceiling height safe and easy. Insulated models are free from visible hardware making them the perfect addition to any room in the home.
